About Us

A Place in Times (APIT) mission is to bring HOPE by helping others excel in purposeful living. We believe nobody can pursue their dreams and goals in life when they suffer from hunger. Since its inception in 2006 we have been having a positive impact on hunger throughout the Broward communities we serve.

Research studies shows one out of four children are going to bed hungry in Broward County, FL. Approximately 17.1%, or 333,925 people living in Broward County are in dire need of food and currently food insecure. Medical studies show the lack of nutritional foods leads to detrimental health illnesses such as diabetes, obesity, stress, and depression. Our primary purpose is to address the ongoing challenge of food insecurity in Broward by ensuring that the most vulnerable children and adults in our community have access to enough nutritious food for their household.

We believe we can impact our community bringing HOPE to families in need in our community through our food pantry program by alleviating their current need, while treating them with dignity, love, and respect.
